Natural hair care products are never out of stock. You either get them from stores or make them on your own! There’s a very wide selection of products and recipes to choose from, depending on your specific needs.
A company that makes natural hair care products is Aubrey Organics. It uses 100% natural ingredients on all of its products and has several hair care products for every type of hair. They advertise their shampoos and conditioners in a duo, depending on the specific hair needs. For easier identification, a color coding system is used: yellow for dry hair, green for normal hair, blue for oily hair, and purple for special care.
Another company that makes hair care products from natural ingredients is Aveda. Although they do not advertise themselves as a company making “natural products,” it does use natural ingredients with minimal chemicals involved. Only the ones deemed necessary in the production of commercially competitive products are included in their products’ formula.
Sodium laurel sulfate is a chemical added to shampoos to make foam and suds. Aveda adds this chemical to its shampoos since majority of consumers are used to having suds from their shampoos.
If a shampoo does not produce ample amount of lather, most people would think that it’s a lousy product or it’s already gone bad. It is important to note, however, that Aubrey Organics does not add sodium laurel sulfate to any of its products so they are not expected to produce any suds.
If you’re not convinced with the formulation of commercially available hair care products, you can concoct your own. However, for various reasons, most home made recipes are not suitable as substitute for your regular shampoo and conditioner.
There are shampoos available in the market containing tea tree oil for hair growth. But if you’re skeptical about the authenticity of their claims you can add 8 to 9 drops of 100% pure and natural tea tree oil to a regular bottle of your favorite shampoo. This will cleanse and moisturize your hair, removing any dirt, microbes, and dandruff from your scalp.
You can also make a more natural solution if you wish to. By adding certain oils together, you can get a perfect combination of multi-beneficial natural hair care solution. Try mixing tea tree oil with a “carrier” oil—the one with the greater amount in a solution. You can use almond oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, and coconut oil. See to it that for every 100 ml, there should be 20 ml of tea tree oil and 80 ml of the carrier oil. Do make sure that you don’t use too much tea tree oil as it would result to allergies.
Other natural hair care products you can use in your home includes cider vinegar for oily hair, fresh egg for a smooth finish, pure lemon juice for a bright blonde hair, avocado, chamomile, rosemary, aloe vera, vegetable oil, honey, and many more, mostly in combinations that either require long minutes of preparation or are ready to be applied.
